Internet Observer: About

Internet Observer is a tool for monitoring Internet pages of interest. The tool is designed to alert whenever it finds that a page has updated. It can continuously check pages once every set interval, but it can also serve as a way to check all interesting sites for updates with just one button click.

The goal is to cut down on the time spent "zapping" between pages, something which often takes an unnecessary lot of time. Another goal is to have the Observer "camp" sites, i.e. have it check them very frequently, when one is for instance expecting an important update.

Internet Observer is also able to specifically look at parts of a page for updates, while ignoring the rest. For example it can observer a forum for new posts without getting distracted by the forum page changing for other reasons.
