The map

"Magnetic Gliders" is progressing at a nice rate. I though I would show you a picture of the map as my attempt at explaining the whole idea of sections might be hard to understand without something visual. I have recently added sky, ground and other things as you can see in the picture. The picture shows two gliders heading for each other. If you look on the top left you will see a lot of squares and a yellow and a black dot somewhere...

Progress

Well the new project (now named "Magnetic Gliders") is coming along faster than I thought it would. During the last few days I have had a lot of fun digging up old knowledge in physics and math and so far I haven't run into any major problems. The whole server/client interaction part is finished and I'm currently working on the visual part of the game. Here's a very early picture, there are still a lot to add. Sky, more ground,...

Magnetic Gliders

The new project's outlining is complete. It will be another OpenGL game but this time a multiplayer one. The basic idea is that each player has a glider which functions because of the magnetic properties of the ground. The ground will then be divided into different sections and each section will have its own varying properties. The glider's acceleration will vary depending on the section's properties so you have to find the right sections to...

New programs

The placeholder for the new project is up as promised. It's just called TCP/IP for now and can be accessed under the projects tab in the menu, just like the other projects. You will noticed that there's a new tab called "Progress" in that section. It's purpose is to sort out the news that concerns the project and display it. This is a kind of log for the project as I generally post small progress reports as news. This feature will be...

New project

During the last few days I have been entertaining myself by writing some new scripts for this page but now I'm going to start a new project. The new project will be about TCP/IP communication, as mentioned in the about section. I have not named the project yet but I will construct a placeholder for the site during the next few days and upload my progress. The idea is that I will be entering my progress here, in the news section, while I'm working...

New version

The new version (2.0) of EQ Log Parser is now released. It can be downloaded from Projects->EQ Log Parser->Download in the menu. It is a completely new program that is packed with useful functions. But if you still miss a function or two then please contact me using "Contact me" in the menu and I will consider adding it. The new version allows you to work with multiple sets of logs at the same time and gives you more control...

Oops

I accidentally just noticed that the "Contact me" section was bugged for all IE users. I use FireFox so I didn't experience the bug while debugging. Anyway sorry about that, it's fixed now though. If it still looks broke then you need to clear your cash.

EQ Log Parser v2

The new version is coming along at a steady rate. The new version will be a completely new program, none of the old code is used and the interface will be brand new. The first version was a quite simple program which was mainly thrown together in about 10 hours. Needless to say it did what it was supposed to do but nothing more and it wasn't very user-friendly. The first version of the program was originally only designed to be used by me,...

MMCore

I have uploaded and released the source code for the core of "The Mining Mystery". The source code contains the basic things like simulating gravity, jumps, moving and collision checks but also a few more things. The package can be downloaded by selecting The Mining Mystery -> Download in the menu above and then selecting MMCore. The things that are not in there are the levels and the puzzles, I figured that including that would...

UO Calculator

The last section of the site is now up. UO calc is a tool for calculating production costs when crafting different things in the game "Ultima Online". It's probably a bit out of date by now as it's four years old but it's mostly here for nostalgic reasons. It was the first real program that I wrote. I currently have two things planned. The first one is to release the source code for the core of "The Mining Mystery". The...
